अन्नदान कार्यक्रम (Annadaan Karyakram) - Food Donation Program

Program Overview

Annadaan (food donation) is one of our core initiatives to fight hunger and malnutrition. We believe that no one should go to bed hungry. Our food donation programs provide nutritious meals to the needy, homeless, and underprivileged sections of society.

स्वच्छता अभियान (Swachhata Abhiyan) - Cleanliness Drive

Program Overview

Our Swachhata Abhiyan (Cleanliness Drive) is aligned with the vision of a clean and healthy India. We organize regular cleaning drives, promote waste management, and create awareness about the importance of cleanliness in public and personal spaces.

🌟 Swachhta Hi Seva 2025 - Special Campaign 🌟

A comprehensive fortnight-long cleanliness and awareness campaign across Mumbai and Palghar district

🎯 Campaign Vision

The "Swachhta Hi Seva" initiative, under the national campaign Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, was conceived with the vision of realizing the dream of a cleaner, healthier, and sustainable India. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, launched by the Government of India, aims to instill a sense of civic responsibility and hygiene among citizens, emphasizing cleanliness as a collective duty.

In line with this vision, Samrudhhi Shreyas Foundation, supported by BPCL CSR, undertook an extensive cleanliness and awareness campaign from 20th September to 2nd October 2025, covering various areas across Mumbai and Palghar district. The program focused not just on physical cleanliness but also on fostering a behavioral shift towards sustainable hygiene practices and community participation.

  • To promote cleanliness and hygiene in urban and semi-urban communities
  • To educate people on waste management, water conservation, and disease prevention
  • To encourage youth and students to actively participate in cleanliness and plantation drives
  • To ensure lasting community impact through infrastructure repair, awareness campaigns, and resource distribution

📅 Day-Wise Activities and Outcomes

📍 20th September 2025 - Street Cleaning in Tanaji Nagar, Malad East

The program commenced with an enthusiastic street cleaning drive in Tanaji Nagar, Malad East. Volunteers cleared accumulated waste, cleaned roadside drains, and removed litter from bylanes. The effort resulted in visibly cleaner surroundings and inspired local residents to maintain cleanliness as part of daily routine. The activity set a strong tone for the fortnight-long campaign.

📍 21st September 2025 - Cleaning of Slums Bordering Sanjay Gandhi Udyan, Malad East

A massive cleaning drive was conducted along the slum area bordering Sanjay Gandhi Udyan. Volunteers collected garbage, segregated waste, and sensitized slum dwellers about hygienic waste disposal. The community's active participation reflected growing awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean environment.

📍 23rd September 2025 - Mosquito Fogging & Community Engagement

At BMC Colony, Goregaon East, mosquito fogging was conducted to control the spread of vector-borne diseases. Community engagement activities were carried out to encourage residents to prevent waterlogging and maintain cleanliness in order to keep malaria and dengue at bay. The community was also educated on the importance of consuming clean and safe drinking water to prevent typhoid and other water-borne diseases.

📍 24th September 2025 - Cleanliness Drive & Awareness Campaign at Goregaon West

A large-scale cleaning operation was undertaken along Swami Vivekanand Road, Goregaon West. The drive was accompanied by a cleanliness awareness campaign addressing local shopkeepers and pedestrians. The event fostered civic sense and collective responsibility for maintaining public spaces.

📍 25th September 2025 - Plantation, Fogging & Hygiene Awareness

The day witnessed multiple impactful activities:

  • 🌱 Tree Plantation: 50 saplings were planted across different locations in Palghar district promoting green cover
  • 🦟 Fogging Machine Donation: A mosquito fogging machine was donated to Daffodil Society at Mira Road and inaugurated
  • 🎒 Hygiene Kit Distribution at Gyanoday School: Awareness sessions and hygiene kits were distributed at Gyanoday School, Kurar Village, emphasizing menstrual hygiene and cleanliness habits
  • 🏫 Student Academy Program: An Awareness and Distribution Program on health and hygiene was organized for students of Student Academy, Indira Nagar, Malad (E), Mumbai. Swasth Kits and sanitary pads were distributed to promote healthy habits, especially focusing on educating girls about personal hygiene and menstrual health. The session encouraged open discussions, breaking taboos and creating confidence among students

📍 26th September 2025 - Street Cleaning in Municipal Colony, Goregaon East

The Foundation continued its efforts with another extensive street cleaning drive at the Municipal Colony in Goregaon East. Roads and drainage areas were cleared of solid waste, creating a visible transformation. The activity reinforced the importance of civic responsibility among residents.

📍 27th September 2025 - Cleanliness Drive at Appapada & Walkathon at Mira Bhayander

🏘️ Appapada Drive: A cleanliness drive was organized at Appapada, Kandivali East, focusing on slum areas. Residents were educated about waterborne diseases and preventive measures against mosquito breeding. The area was fumigated and hygiene kits were distributed.

🚶 Health and Cleanliness Walkathon: Parallelly, a "Health and Cleanliness Awareness Walkathon" in Mira Bhayander saw participation from youth and families, spreading the message of "Clean Surroundings, Healthy Living."

📍 28th September 2025 - Free Health Check-up at Kashimira Gav, Mira Road

A free medical camp offering health check-ups and consultations and promoting prevention from water borne and vector borne diseases, was organized for residents of Kashimira Gav. Doctors addressed common health issues related to poor sanitation and guided people on preventive care. The initiative strengthened the connection between cleanliness and good health.

📍 30th September 2025 - Water Filtration & Plantation at Nalasopara

💧 Water Filtration System: A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the installation of a water filtration system at a school in Nalasopara. This initiative aims to provide students with clean and purified drinking water, ensuring better health, improved hygiene, and enhanced overall well-being for the young learners.

🌳 Plantation Drive: Continuing the green initiative, 50 saplings were planted at Nalasopara Panchayat Nagar. The plantation aimed at improving the local ecosystem, preventing soil erosion, and adding beauty to the surroundings. Local students actively participated, ensuring sustainability through ownership of each planted sapling.

📍 1st October 2025 - Swachhta Activities & Competitions in Schools

The day was dedicated to schools, where Swachhta Hi Seva activities were held at:

  • Nalasopara School
  • Pranav Vidya Mandir (Goregaon East)
  • Harsh Public School
  • Aarey Milk Colony School

🎨 Student Engagement: Students took cleanliness oaths, participated in essay writing, drawing, and speech competitions. These events nurtured environmental consciousness and creativity among young minds.

🚽 Toilet Repair: Simultaneously, the team repaired and cleaned toilets at Pranav Vidya Mandir School, ensuring hygienic sanitation for students. These interventions directly improved health and sanitation standards in the community.

🎉 2nd October 2025 - Culmination Day: Gandhi Jayanti Activities 🎉

The concluding day marked Gandhi Jayanti with multiple impactful activities:

  • 📚 Seminar at Mira Gaon: A seminar on personal hygiene and cleanliness was conducted along with a plantation drive of 50 saplings at Mira Gaon, Mira Bhayander
  • 🧹 Slum Cleanliness Drives: Simultaneously, cleanliness drives were carried out in New Shanti Nagar and Pimpripada slums of Malad East. Roads were swept, garbage cleared, and hygiene kits distributed
  • 💧 Water Filter Installation: Groundbreaking was done for a new water filter at Tanaji Nagar, Malad East, ensuring access to clean drinking water — a fitting tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's vision of "Clean India, Healthy India"

The Swachhta Hi Seva 2025 campaign by Samrudhhi Shreyas Foundation, in collaboration with BPCL CSR, successfully reached hundreds of beneficiaries across Mumbai and Palghar. Through sustained efforts in cleanliness, awareness, plantation, and sanitation improvement, the program created visible transformation and deep community impact.

The initiative not only contributed to a cleaner environment but also empowered individuals—especially students and women—to adopt cleanliness and hygiene as a way of life, ensuring that the spirit of Swachh Bharat continues to thrive. 🇮🇳
